Sorry, I don't know where else to put this.

I washed my new jacket (made with 100% acrylic) and after it dried I saw a LOT of dust all over it. There's also some dust on my black tank top =T Before, I've noticed some dust on my black shirts and stuff but there wasn't that much! My mom said I should hand wash it from now on, but I'm scared I wouldn't be able to clean it properly if I hand washed it.

The washing instructions say to wash it with similar colours in cold water. Should I try and just rewash it? Do you think the dust will go away? My mom said to soak it in water and the dust will go away but I'm not too sure about that?
