Help me pick a hair salon in Vancouver! / Japanese salons for Caucasian hair?
Hello!
I recently moved to Vancouver from Europe, and am in search for a new hair stylist / salon. I have short blonde Northern European/Caucasian straight hair, and am looking for somebody who could shape it into a cool bob, and potentially add some Japanese anime style funk to it. I'm used to the professional hair stylist having a 50-dollar tag for the full spiel (color+cut+style), so I am looking for a place that would do my roots, add some highlights and give me a nice fresh cut for under a 100CAD.
I noticed a lot of talk about Asian vs. Caucasion hair and haircuts - is there really any difference between going to a Japanese stylist vs a random pro stylist, other than getting a cooler haircut with the former? Or are some of the products they use Asian-specific?
Also, which salon would you personally recommend?
