Re: HBC Stores: Career Fair

I went to one of those before at metrotown. They bring you to this room somewhere in the mall and they did one on one interviews after watchign a video about HBC, with a bunch of other people. After the video u get a interview. I got hired at Zellers in Brentwood, it was so boring, after working there 2 months i quit. Not a place where I want to work, because mainly cause its mostly middle-aged ladies working there, and you don't get to talk to anymore. Also because people are already in their little groups and so I didn't feel welcome in to the team as well no one really seemed to want to talk to me.

Also a big thing that they want everyone to do is to sell or get ppl to sign up for their HBC credit card, and if you don't you will be fired after a month or two, because I knew this girl who started out at the same time as me as a cashier, and she said she got fired cuz she didn't get anyone to sign up for the credit card. As for me, I worked in the jewellery section, so they werent too strict about that in taht department.

They are unionized, so their wage will be higher than min.
