if you have a specific image of what you want, bring it to a hair salon and ask if they can do it. I usually go to asian hair-stylists as I'm asian myself and i've experienced extremely poor haircuts from caucasian hairstylists - they had not idea what layering was to start with (ex when i asked for layers, the lady cut of 2 inches straight across and charged me $35. she got really mad when i told her that wasn't layering) and they were not used to dealing with coaser asian hair. so i agree with Castafiore to an extent - you have to be careful around asian hair salons because their training might not include working on caucasian hair. but bring in the image and ask anyway - if you want more anime-ish hair, i'd still suggest going to an asian salon as they definately use waaay more techniques on your hair than caucasian salons.
