We have been in Vancouver International Airport since 1994. Starting small with only 2 units, we now have over 40, and we are still growing! Presently, the HMS Vancouver team is comprised of 700+ people providing outstanding customer service to all visitors of the Airport.

Duties:
-Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
-Follow recipes and/or products directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food and beverage products
-Operate a variety of kitchen equipment and/or utensils
Measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables, and trim and cut meats, poultry and fish for culinary use. Stock, date and rotate and heck temperature of product
-Taste products, follow menus, estimate food requirements, check production and keep records in order to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment as needed
-Receive inventory, move and lift food and beverage products and supplies
-Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment following proper procedures
- Comply with HMS, franchise and other regulatory agency’s policies
-Other duties as reasonably requested.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and follow set of cooking instructions
- Food Safe Certificate, at least 1 year of Food Experience Required
- Experience working in a corporate atmosphere would be an asset
- Team Player- able to share workload with co-workers/perform other kitchen duties as required
- Excellent Cleaning and Organization Skills required
- Outgoing Personality
-FLEXIBLE HOURS -Able to fill in shifts on short notice

UBC Catering is recruiting experienced Waiters and Waitresses.

Duties will include: checking with the Host or Catering Coordinator on service requirements; setting up functions according to information and directions given; checking function sheets to ensure all service requirements are met; serving functions; preparing all mis-en-place; clearing tables; ensuring supplies are clean and in its proper place; performing general clean-up duties; assisting in opening or closing duties.

The successful candidate must have effective oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Previous experience preferred. Serving it Right and Foodsafe certificates required. This is a unionized position and requires the ability to work flexible hours within a team environment.

Position to commence April 7, 08 until Aug 5, 08.
