Re: Posh Restaurant
hey guys! sorry for the late reply..!!
So i actually didn't end up working on that Monday cuz i worked like 5 hrs overtime at my other job.. hahahha... so bad.. missed my first shift..
But i started last night (saturday) and lemme tell ya, it is NOT easy! They put me right on the floor on my first shift. Even though it's all you can eat and you technically don't have to "take orders" from anybody, it's still aloooot of work. But honestly it's so much fun because the staff are SO nice, my boss is really cool, and you're never bored because you get to talk to strangers lol. I'd definitely recommend working at Posh to anyone looking for a job. I've decided to compile a list of skills that will really come in handy:
-good multi-tasker, efficient
-good short-term memory
-able to carry alot of things in both hands (stacks/trays of food)
-people person, as you are expected to make conversation with customers (there are lines that every server has to memorize and perform, but it'd be better if you could actually converse with customers on top of that)
-team player.. you are always helping everyone out, vice versa.
-good on your feet.. you'll be constantly walking around, bending over, crouching, standing on tippy toes..all this while carrying stuff or cleaning. I swear i couldn't even feel my legs when i came home last night but that could just be because i haven't served for a looong time.
Rewards?
Big tips
Working with friendly and fun people (they often go out to eat after work, etc.)
Get to talk to lots of customers and make new friends, and you'll never be bored
Set schedule
