Thats what I feel happens when i put conditioner sometimes.

OH MAN and that baby powder thing sure works but don't over do it if you have dark hairr!!
It makes your hair go a funky color.
its seems crazy to wash only with conditioner but if you google it there will be lots of threads about using only conditoner and that is if you have dry hair problems. for some hair types you dont need to shampoo. I tried it and it actually worked great but I ran out of the conditioner I liked and no other seems to work the same.

Re: How to keep colored hair from fading?

Okay, so I ended up getting the purple shampoo from Clairol called shimmer lights from Revolution, but I was told that I'm only supposed to use it once a week to rid the yellow, brassy colour in my highlights or else it'd turn to a purple tint if I used it regularly. So what kind of shampoo should I use on a regular basis? One for colour-treated hair or specifically for platinum? Any suggestions/recommendations on products?

it's because you're applying your conditioner wrong. you're suppose to apply it to the ends ONLY. and towel dry you hair before applying it.

Does anyone know a good brand for a shampoo and conditioner for platinum coloured hair?
My friend told me something about getting a product with a purple toner in it or something about purple... ?

I've had platinum hair at times that tends to go super brassy :( but I use Silver by AG now and its kept it pretty decent, definitely not as brassy as it used to go. its $14 or so.
