dry lips advice

Okay, yesterday i went to see my orthodontist to take pictures of my teeth. They needed to take these 2 fork-like things to stretch open my mouth. after, sticking a mirror in my mouth to add to it. i have a small mouth and they had to take pictures of my teeth with the little stick with air coming out, which makes my mouth and lips really dry. they couldnt catch all the areas, so they kept on sticking the mirror and 2 stick things to open my mouth at least 12 times. then this morning at the sides of my lips i have a little cut or a bump. i keep on putting lip balm on but it doesnt seem to work. any advice? Thanks!

Re: dry lips advice

Vaseline worx wonderz!!! It really duz! If u don't wanna carry around Vaseline, Chanel Hydracaresse Hydra-Treatment Lip Care which looks like a lipstick also works wonderz! It goes on sheer (no color). I find that it's a terrific primer for ur lips BEFORE u apply lipstick cuz it makes ur lips super soft so that ur lipstick glides on ultra smooth and flawless without da ugly dryness & parchy feeling!

Re: dry lips advice

i second (er...third) the vaseline idea. i had braces before and just from having braces plus the appointments of them opening up my mouth and stretching my lips farther than it should...it really works!

plus extra tip, if your lips are dry (especially in winter) and you want to exfoliate them don't use normal skin exfoliator since the skin on your lips are much thinner. instead, wet your lips with water and use sugar to exfoliate, just keep rubbing it till it melts away.
