Foundation

Is it better to use a powder foundation or a liquid foundation? What brands do you use? All recommendations are welcomed.

Re: Foundation

i would say liquid, tho my skin is normal to dry, and maybe for a touch up or something i'll use powder. Though if you have more of an oily skin type you should prob stick to more powder. I just find that on me powder is really obvious, whereas liqiud blends right in. They also have powder liquids now, so there not exaclty powder or liquid, those are awsome. I would recommend Mac

Re: Foundation

It really depends on your skin type and how much coverage you want. Powders give less coverage than liquid, but are nice and light if you don't want to totally cover your face. You can make powder a little heavier by applying moisturizer 10-15mins beforehand.

Re: Foundation

Powder foundation doesn't stay on as long as liquid foundation for me.

Try the Color I.D. foundation by Lancome. It's light and doesn't clog pores.

Re: Foundation

A beautician at Shoppers Drug Mart would be able to help you. Try one with a really big Beauty department like the one in Yaletown or West Broadway. I went the the one on West Broadway to buy concealer, and the beautician was very helpful. She gave me tips in lengthening the lifespan of my cosmetics and tips applying makeup.

Re: Foundation

I find that a powder foundation provides a better even skin tone than the liquid version. I use the Shiseido compact powder foundation. I have combination/only skin and I find the liquid foundations too heavy on my face.
