Re: Recommend a good foundation????

I'd say the MAC liquid foundation, the stick or the studio fix compact (the one with SPF 15) along with the fix powder compact or the loose powder. The studio fix compact and fix powder's really nice when you're on the go and you can put it in your purse and do touch ups whenever you go. Also, with the studio fix, normally if you don't have crazy break outs and everything, it actually covers most of the scars and acnes and dark circles around your eyes so you don't need to use the concealers.
For the liquid or stick foundation and loose powder, it's really nice if you wanna do a complete look for special occations. But the thing about the liquid or stick foundation is that, you might need to use the concealer more.
Oh be sure, if you wanna use the studio fix and everything, be sure to use the fix powder after you put on the foundation so it looks for natural and your face won't get all shiney and everything.

If you're not really fond of MAC. I suggest you to use the Shu Uemura foundation. For that, you don't really have to use a fix powder afterwards since the foundation itself is really light on the skin. But I've only seen my friends use the liquid one, so you might need to check on that more. ^^ Also, the under base is really nice. It's really light and in mousse form. Even so, the bottle can last you for quite a long time.

For MAC's pricing, you can check on their official site.

As for the Shu Uemura's pricing, you might have to google it.

Hope that helped ^^

Re: Recommend a good foundation????

I suggest you don't use MAC unless you get a sample or something first because it could eventually cause breakouts.

Re: Recommend a good foundation????

Well, of course you need to have proper skin care, for me, after i wash my face, I use the toner, then lotion and a under base, if I don't have an under base handy, I use sun blocks so the foundation itself doesn't get into my pores.
I've actually never gotten any break outs from the MAC products ^^". So..eh, my skin arent that sensitive, for my friends who have the more sensitive skin, they use the shu uemura foundations since it's more light on the skin and everything.
But most importantly I believe is that you won't get break outs as long as you do a good job on the make up removal and wash your face and keep your skin clean as much and often as possible. ^^
You could also as the people there to put a tiny bit on you to see how it works out for you.

same here, been using it for years, and when i went down to the states they were 2 for 1 (too i had just bought one though here, so now i've got 3 almost new bottles!).

i've always considered revlon a good reliable brand and AFFORDABLE!

Re: Recommend a good foundation????

You can always try mineral makeup. I like J Lynne but found it too drying for my face so it might be perfect for oily skin. It covers great and her samples are so generous for the industry. I still rec her because her customer service is great even if you are Canadian. Some mineral companies cant be bothered with us or make it seem like they are doing a favor to even serve us.

I have a referral code for 10% off your first order if anyone wants it.
The owner herself has oily skin so she really knows how it is for you.

Re: Recommend a good foundation????

ohhh thank god.
i needed this information~!
the crap i use, is true match by loreal paris. i have oily skin, and this shit doesnt stay place. okay sorry for the s-bomb. but it pisses me off. and htis mineral makeup sounds intriging...~ i think im going to hit up Phyisicals formula (i have face powder, concealer (it does WONDERS magic cube btw) and a blush from that company) and it all kicks ass~ but its expenseive-ish. and i saw in a former drug store that physicials formula has mineral foundation. i was looking at it.. but im iffy. now im totally dead on. i just need money first. xD
