Re: Acrylic nails

Daiso. Real cheap, a pack contains like..150 -200 depends on which pack you get. But um, I wouldn't recommand to buy the glue there, for me for some sort of reason, the glue doesn't really work, but for my friend's sister, the glue works perfectly .
The nails aren't that bad if you just want to play around with it, you can get the plain ones which are pretty long and you file them to your size and desirable length, or get the premade and printed one that's filed down and designed.

Re: Acrylic nails

The fake nails you get from Daison, London Drugs etc are just piece of plastic glued to your nails. They look VERY fake.
Don't use glue. They hurt your nails and when you try to remove those fake nails, you can remove some of your REAL nails as well!!!
To get gel/acrylic nails, go for a salon. I heard some people does ur nails on an oncall basis at home. They charge lower cost cuz they dun hv to pay rent.

yup, it's cheaper to get it done at someone's house. I know a really good place. it's located near stadium station, near the BC place. i think it's $30-$40 for a set of nails. PM me if your interested.

Re: Acrylic nails

Yes, home service is cheaper. But you should focus on the quality of the nail products. Products made in China can permanently damage your natural nails.

Re: Acrylic nails

Haha, I guess it all depends what what kind of nail art you want. I think they use a combination of the gel/acrylic nail technique to give you the nail art you want~ They would give you advices in which technique is better for you depending on what overall effect you want :)

WTF that was $35? is $35 supposedly considered "cheap" in Vancouver or (Canada)?

My fave. home based business is 'Home Retreat Mobile Spa'. The owner has done nails [at a different place] for Clay Aiken and Pamela Anderson I believe!
There's prices/Contact on the site as well.
