Re: bare minerals ?

I have it!! It works great!! Im not really a fan of powder makeup, but the technique used to apply it actually sort of melts the powder into your skin. So it doesnt looked caked at all. Try using the bare minerals on its own to see if it does cover the dark circles, it may or may not. But I usually dap some concealer on like scares or zits or any dark circles that I might have before using the bare minerals, and it's like it was never there.

Plus the makeup has a light natural feel to it, so its more you than the makeup.

Good luck!

Re: bare minerals ?

I love mineral makeup but I dont use the BM as its too pricy and it has an ingredient that creates a glow that is too drying for me. Its bismuth oxychloride and its shows up in lots of stuff to make it glowy but it can be very irritating to some skins.
You can check out samples at

(you can find it at Choices)

For US sites I like
(its best for oily skin and I have a code if anyone wants it)

Re: bare minerals ?

I love mineral make up for everyday use; plus you can build it up depending on how much cover you want. I use Lumiere Cosmetics ().

Re: bare minerals ?

If you dont want to spend a lot of money you need to order online. EveryDay Minerals is only $12. I think $50 is too much for mineral powder. Even Lumiere includes shipping in their prices.

Re: bare minerals ?

i dont know where u can get bare minerals in vancouver, but i know you can order it from the shopping channel or online at sephora. If its your 1st time using the products you should probably get the starter kit, they have everythign your going to need including their brushes etc.

Good luck

Re: bare minerals ?

I've seen the informercials for Sheer Cover, it's also a type of bare mineral makeup. It is endorsed by Leeza Gibbons, Alyssa Milano, Melissa Gilbert, Yoanna (ANTM cycle 2), etc. Has anyone ever tried Sheer Cover? Does it work?

Re: bare minerals ?

The formula is pretty similar to the BE so they might perform the same. They sell it at London Drugs. . BE is usually sold in spas and in plastic surgeons offices.

Re: bare minerals ?

Yah i'm planning to get the BM in the states next time i go. BUT i don't know which starter set i should pick up. There is a 9-peice set including brushes that is sold for $60 at sephora. And there's is a 11-peice set for 75 dollars at nordstrom. I Don't know which set to get, since it's my first time using it.

I would prob say get the 9 piece set cuz the only thing ur really missing is the compact with the brush. Cuz u dont even know if its going to work for you yet.

Re: bare minerals ?

I tried the Pure Boutique ones. Its pretty good so I ordered a bigger one. She sends the samples free if you only want a few. The finish is semi matte and covers well. The owner is very nice to deal with and the shipping is free over $50.
