Re:NAILS

dasio at richmond has fake nails for $2 a pack. depend which pack you pick. the soft pastic one has 100. and the nicer one has around 21. and the glue is $2. so $4 for the glue and nails.

Re:NAILS

no no, too get the salons to put fake nails on (acrylic or gel) is like 25-50$ depending on where you go.
you don\'t need to have long nails to get them done. you could have bitten them down to the knuckle and i\'m sure they could still do it.
gel is safer on your nails, and lasts longer so thats a good choice.
but don\'t get them done unless your willing to invest in keeping them. getting them touched up and filled every month or so. because when you get them taken off it can make your nails in pretty bad shape.
so if you only want temporary stuff then go with the fake nails with glue like candice said. the ones you do themselves

Re:NAILS

There are a couple of places that absolutly suck.
If you\'re from the Port Coquitlam or Coquitlam area.
Best Nails in Port Coquitlam sucks ass.
I got my nails done there and 20 minutes later they chipped.
Totally not worth it and he\'s not hygenic.
When I went back to complain I saw some stuff that I was not supposed to see.
Good nails go to a school they really take their time
And it\'s only like 20 bucks to get them done.
Everything from Gel to Silk.

Re:NAILS

the fake nails at london drugs are a lot more natural and comfortable than the ones at daiso tho. the ones from london drugs are a bit more expensive, but are a better investment. they lasted me for about a week while the ones at daiso lasted about two hours...they were really uncomfortable and didnt feel natural at all....but if u do decide to go with the ones from daiso, buy the nail glue...they come with these sticker things that u use to attach the fake nail to your natural nail, but they dont work very well.

Re:NAILS

i had a homekit one, and it felt real fake. maybe the kid sucked... because some of the fake nails would be too small and would look really awkward...

Nail School

Hey,

There's a great place to get your nails done on Broadway called "Pro Nails Academy" BUT just so you know, it is really cheap...don't be surprised...but the reason for that is that it is a SCHOOL...that means, that it takes them more time to do what might otherwise take way less time...i.e. If you're getting a manicure and at a regular salon it usually only takes 30min, alow an hour...The pedicures are really great, and the nails are good too....Try it out for yourself...

I live in coquitlam, and another great place is Crystal Nails near Michaels...its more expensive than the school but they're pretty good there...try and get one of the guys they're the best at it!

When was the last time you went to Crystal Nails there?
They closed down almost a year ago.
They're in maple ridge now.
We're friends with the owners

It's still the same name...

Hi, I haven't been to the salon you mentioned but your nails do not need to be a certain length before getting gels or acrylic.

Make sure you go to a salon who's estheticians and nail technicians are licensed by the Cosmetology Association of BC. Ask to see their license.

There are too many people just learning nails from friends who are not licensed and do not know proper sanitary procedures. I've seen WAAY to many people with nail fungus and infections from un-properly sanitized tools.
