Good Salon in Richmond with reasonable price?

Hii everybody :) My friend and I are trying to get a new style during Spring Break and we've been experimenting different salons. Up until now, we didn't find that we're satisfied with both price and quality. We live in Richmond, so we hope to find one in Richmond (which probably means asian salon, ahaha)

So any recommendations? Our budget would be around 40 and below, since we wanna actually go to a better one so they don't screw up our hair

Thanks so much :)

Air - Number 3 and Westminster Hwy

I cannot stress how AWESOME they are until you go there.

they will fit whatever hairstyle looks good with your face - and they're damn good at it
or cut your hair EXACTLY like the picture you bought them or chosen from a magazine.

I go there about every 3 months and they have a profile of you in their computer =)

Zeal - Aberdeen mall

I think they are the same company. not sure.

Re: Good Salon in Richmond with reasonable price?

xoxo.juicy - yeah .. thats what I had on my mind too. Can you recommend me stylist(s) from Air Salon? And if by any chance, Zeal too?

Hmm .. I was at the Air site earlier, and it said the richmond location will "reloacate soon" but in bracket it has no 3 and westminister. When was the last time you went xoxo.juicy?

thanks :)

Re: Good Salon in Richmond with reasonable price?

Zeal in Richmond is a good salon if you're willing to spend a certain amount of money on getting a hair cut. From what I was told by the receptionist all their stylists are good at what they do. However, if you don't speak Japanese then I would suggest Angela who speaks both Mandarin and English.

A hair cut costs $40 and up, so it depends on you and your friend about if you guys are willing to spend that much money on a cut. I really liked how they cut my hair, it was a much better experience compared to the other times I've had a hair cut.

like in Dec before x'mas just in time for all the pics
and suposely its bad luck to cut hair in chinese new year

anyways I would recommend Ako =)
I've tried Michael too and they both looked awesome.

btw those are ZEAL's stylist right now. but when i went there it was still called "Air"
now they opened a new "Air" in Number 3 and westminster Hwy.
so I don't really know how that works.
but i guess you can't go wrong as long as the same people are there ^^

Re: Good Salon in Richmond with reasonable price?

x.musiclover.x - yup , i made an appointment with my friend at Zeal. I booked Ako and she booked Angela. I'll post my results up after I'm done. I don't mind the price if it's worth it, I guess :p Since I'm not just going for a trim, I'd want a better salon so they dont screw up my hair, ahaha.

xoxo.juicy - Yup, I asked for Ako=) I'm not too sure about the Air thing, but it doesn't matter since I made an appointment with Ako already :P but thanks anyways=) Next time, I wanna try Chura, ahaha. But I'd know I have to call in way before i go :P

Re: Good Salon in Richmond with reasonable price?

ahaha it was alright .. i guess, a little different than what ive expected :P Cuz I brought in some straight bang pictures that were swept to the side, and Ako and I talked about it a little and changed a little of it; so the result wasn't what I intended in the first place. But I don't really like myself with straight bangs :P But the service was great :)

They turned on the massage thing when they were washing my hair. At first, I thought my cell was vibrating or something, but i was like "why would it shake the whole thing?" LOOOL

Re: Good Salon in Richmond with reasonable price?

haha yeahh and when they're washing your hair they like massage your head =P I love it.

Supatsa - yup, well you can ask them or suggest them how you would like your haircut to look like. but if you hve like a long face and you want a bob cut. they will tell you. oh man that would NOT look good. which is always nice to know =P and that's what i like about Zeal.Air.

I'm going to go to try Nami Air on number 3 and westminster hwy for the first time.
probz within the next week or so. I hope its going to look good ^^
