we r just being realistic. besides, how long have u been going out with yur bf and how old are u? cuz pretend...if a 17 yr old is dating her bf for 3 years...that's still not a long time..it's considered puppy love...when yur still young.

i say jus get yur own sign and he should get his own sign. because regardless, the tattoo...will still remind u of him....even if his sign isn't on yur body.

the strong attitude expressed is not hate towards yur idea...but it's just that we have paternalistic views about it..and r trying to give the best answer to yur situation...i think most of us are thinking about it in regards to long term....but it seems like u r thinking about it just "in the moment"....i hope u understand that the strong attitudes expressed weren't meant to be negative.

just remember, you'll get other bfs in yur life...

and u always have to account for variable change in yur relationship with yur current bf.

I see why you would do that - kind of like... getting your life story tattooed on your body - and a lot of people do that. People go on trips, and get tattoos together - so I guess it makes sense. It's definitely up to you in the end. All the best to you. I personally am not a fan of astro-signs on the body unless you actually know what it is... Why don't you get a tattoo of something special to you both...? (for example, the symbol of your fave restaurant, sounds dumb, but something like that?) That'll remind you of the times you had with him - I'm sure.

In the end be sure to KNOW that YOU want it. I love the "tape the picture in my room, stare at it and see if I get tired of it" idea... =)

hmm..well im not that young.. im 20 and he's 25 and we've been together for almost 2years,, ..other bfs in my life..to be honest ive only had 2(when i was 16 and then 17), hes the 3, and the one, ..lets just say im more mature, and dont look for a party type relationship, i want one where i can see my self married and with kids, and with alex i can see that ,not to mention im done school at the end of the year so lol pretty much starting an "adult life" of work work and more work, , which is what i like, and i just really would like a way to show that he's in my life and will always be :) ;), ..u probably think im like super optimistic , and its true lol..because if u really want something it can be done :) u only have to work hard at it. , lol....and i sounding defensive? lol i tend to get like that lol

yeah im 21 and i've been dating my bf for 3 years. 5 years if u count that one year break up lol. but yeah...i wouldn't get a tattoo that had any aspect that relate to him and only him. i got a tattoo too...but the meaning expands to everyone who i love dear...it's 4 chinese char that says 'deep in my heart, carved on my bones' on my ribcage. so it can be interpreted in many ways...so i can twist the story to whom ever i want. hehehe =)

by the way, have u talked to yur bf about yur tattoo idea? and how does he feel about it? well in the end it's up to u and what makes u happy right. and take a picture of it if u end up getting one =)

by the way...what xxkinky said about integrating the 2 symbols together...and how yurs look like an M right..and his looks like an arrow...and how u can use the tip of the M that extends out like an arrow....well if anything goes wrong..u can say the arrow is there cuz it's pretty =D

i think it depends on the person, lol i dont think its tacky ,(and anways im thinking of just getting the sign for virgo instead of his name ..... and rememberd of the past that depends on the peron 2, if u want to see it as bad see it as bad, i know id remember it as a very happy moment in my life)
