Reccomend a book or more

I love reading books, so i'm interested to see what books people thought were really good/amazing.

My reccomendations

a book i just finished and read in two days i thought it was so good:
Dispatches from the edge - Anderson Cooper

the hilighted ones are my favorite. But i love the others almost as much.
A lot of them are about socialties/rich/new york type stuff.

You'll Nevery Nanny in this Town Again. Beyond the Blonde, Bergdof Blondes, How to make love like a Porn Star, The Devil Wears Prada, Man Camp, Mine Are Spectacular, Everyone worth knowing, The Girlfriend Curse, Wolves in Chic Clothing, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Next Summer, The Nanny diaries, The Botox Diaries, The Right Address, Conversations with the fat girl, Tommyland, Caribbean Crusin', She Said Yes, The Notebook, The Wedding, A Million little pieces, The twins of tribeca, The perfect manhattan, How i stole her husband, Chore Whore, Gossip Girls

no life gaurd on duty - janice dickinson is a really good book also.

I love reading in general. My favorite genres are fantasy and historical fiction and non-fiction.

Trilogies:
The Chronicles of Narnia (C.S. Lewis)
The Lord of the Rings (J.R.R. Tolkien)
The Lives of the Mayfair Witches (Anne Rice)

Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China (Jung Chang)
The Bonesetter’s Daughter (Amy Tan)
Trapdoor to Heaven (Lesley Choyce)
Empress Orchid (Anchee Min)

Re: Reccomend a book or more

an absolute classic for me is Tuesday's With Morrie by Mitch Albom. read it with a box of tissues beside you.... as well as a pen and paper to write down quotes you might like.

and for a fun read.... i recommend Can You Keep A Secret by Sophie Kinsella (the author of the SHOPAHOLIC series!). it's such a good read.... couldn't put it down and there were parts that i just help but laugh out loud.

Diary of a Mad Bride is hilarious too.

Re: Reccomend a book or more

Just to name a few:

Harry Potter - all 5 - It'll be a classic must read

Dog Handling by Clare Naydor (hilarious, although the 3rd person narrating is kinda annoying)

Shopaholic Series by Sophie K(?) - fell in love with the characters

Dirty Job by Christopher Moore (hilarious and filled with dark humor, can't put it down)

You can never expect movie remakes to be good... especially Chronicles of Narnia. I fell asleep during the movie and my BF got pissed because I begged him to see it with me.

The book was soooo good though.
