I think what you need is a Mini SD card + a mini sd card adpater, well im jsut basing off this my borther's blackberry. I don't know the model =x so that's as much as i can help.
Nope, You need a MicroSD card. 1Gb go for $10 and 2Gb for $15. If you are in Vancouver, Check NCIX.COM. They have 4 locations in Lowe Mainland.
ohh k thanks guys!
OMG the first time you upload stuff is soo freaking annoying.
you just need a micro SD. the pearl doesnt have enough memory on it to keep all your videos and ringtones and pics so you need to buy the additional memory card.
I got a 4gb one at the night market for $14 last time. :)
Buy the card, stick it in your phone and the message shouldn't pop up anymore. It's basically telling you there isn't enough memory on your phone. Double click your Desktop Manager and click "Media Manager". Your new media card and blackberry folders should appear on the left hand side. Just use simple drag and drop to move your files (stored on your phone) into your media card folder. The message should disappear now. :b
sdosanjh_90 .. i plan to get pink blackberry pearl as well =) .. but i plan to buy it WITHOUT a plan. do you know the approximate amount that would cost me?
thanks in advance!
The Pearl values between 700 to 1 500 new... My boyfriend picked one up in amazing condition used for 270. That's probably your best bet. Just make sure you get a model that is compatible with the provider you want, for example Rogers takes the 8100, 8110, and 8120, each have different features. One has WiFi(wireless internet, where a hot spot is available) and one has GPS, which can be used with BlackBerry Maps, IF your provider supports it. The 8130 is for Bell, Alltell and any other CDMA provider. So really, get one used, it's the best way to go. Just make sure, very sure, ask the person you're buying from if it will work with the provider you want. And if they try to push you onto a plan you don't want, say no, because they can activate it onto any plan if it is your phone.
Yes... In order to make a Pearl(or any mobile device) useful, you need a media card, specifically for the Pearl, a MicroSD card. The max sizze of it can be 2 GB, which is a fair size anyway. You can pick them up in any electronic store, or get one off ebay, newegg, or tigerdirect.that should help to make sure you get the right one. Don't get a MiniSD card, that is NOT what you need, it has to be MICRO...
if I were you I would stick to Kingston or SanDisk brand cards... Those are good quality and won't let you down.
Now to get movies, music, ringtones, pictures, and whatever else you may want on and off the media card, just plug your BlackBerry into your computer with the cable that came with it. If you have a password set on the BlackBerry it will ask you to enter the password to enable mass storage mode, enter your password. Now go to My Computer, then double click "Removable Drive". Now double click the folder named "BlackBerry". You will see a list of folders name "documents", "music", "pictures", "ringtones", "videos", and "voicenotes". These are the different types of files you can add and remove. Pretty self explanatory what you will find in each. To add music, simply drag MP3s into the "music" folder here. To get videos off the phone, just double click the "videos" folder, and select the video you want, simply drag it to your desktop. The videos can be played in Apple Quicktime (), or maybe Windows Media Player will play it, I've never tried it can't say. You can use either Quicktime Pro, or another media converter.
That should cover it, otherwise send me a PM.
