Looks:
Both phone's thickness are relativly thin. Both are small and very easy to carry around, stuff into pockets, etc.
The K1 KRZR is going after the thin and long look while the LG TG/KG800 is going after the wide short look.
Both phones are quite fingerprint magnets.
The Chocolate sports a attractive, but problematic touch/heat sensitive keypad for navigation. After extensive usage, the heat sensors tend to not work as well, they also dont work well in cold conditions.
UI/Functionality:
Motorola's new UI for their newer generations have been upgraded and is no longer very laggy and such.
LG's UI is pretty easy to use overall, however the firmware is still buggy, Expecially in the TG(Rogers) Model.
The KRZR uses the traditional flat keypad with keys spread out comfortably. The Chocolate's keypad is somewhat small and hard to use for text messaging. Like most slider phones, its also difficult to access the top for of numbers (1, 2, 3) if you have big fingers.
Camera:
The KRZR Sports are 2.0 Megapixel by Motorola. However this camera is sub-par and cannot compare with the W810.
The LG is equipped with a 1.3 Megapixel camera. Picture quality is also mediocre with this device. There also is a slight shutter lag compared to other 1.3 Megapixel phones such as the Samsung D820 or even the Sharp 703sh.
Neither devices have autofocus as these are not used as cameras.
Call Quality:
Motorola's quality has been refinished since the first RAZR. Still sticking with it's Quadband frequencies, it has great reception. Call volume is also quite loud and the quality is quite clear.
LG's Original Chocolate (KG model) only had triband frequencies of 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. However, the Roger's model has replaced the 900 frequency with a 850Mhz reciever making the reception compare up with the KRZR's. LG also has excellent call quality and volume.
Battery Life:
Motorola's batteries have been known to last, dispite its thinness. KRZR only uses a 700mAh Lithium Ion Battery but has been able to last quite a while.
LG's Battery life is mediocre dispite using a higher capacity battery, a 800mAh Lithium Ion Battery. The battery life cannot compare with the KRZR's.
If there are any other questions, feel free to ask. I have Both the KRZR (Blue) and Chocolate (KG800 [world model]) on hand and can test anything.
