Lg Shine Slide

I recently purchased an LG shine slide from Rogers. I got it in November and had it about a month. I haven't dropped it or anything... not even a scratch. Anyways... I am having problems with it and was wondering if anyone else has too?

Sometimes when I call someone it just hangs up or rings once and then hangs up. I thought I was pressing the hang up button but I put it on speaker and it still did it. Now this is the 2nd time my phone has turned off by itsself. Right now I can't even turn it back on. I tried taking out the battery and everything... and it still won't work! Now I have a dead phone.

My boyfriend has the same phone and his phone always hangs up too!

Anyone else have the same phone and experience?
Is there a defect or something?
Is there any way I can fix it myself?

If you got it in November, it should still be under warranty, so maybe try bringing it into the Rogers store and having them look at it?

^ Yeah, take it to Rogers. They'll send it out for a week or two to get repaired. In the meantime, you'll get a really old phone to use with your SIM card. It should be free since it's under warranty.

is there anything else wrong with your phone?? My dad's company has a deal with Rogers so I'm getting the phone really cheap, but now I'm kind of worried.
Does it always do this hanging up thing?

I just bought the phone myself in early December. I have the same problem as you do too. When I call my mom (she has telus) the first time, it just hangs up or rings once and hangs up again. I have to call twice in order to make the call. At first, I just thought it didn't go through but I had to do the same thing every time I called my mom.
I don't have the problem where my phone turns off by itself though..
I'm so glad that I'm not the only who has this problem. I'm thinking of bringing it back to Rogers and getting them to look at it.

Yes it actually does it alot and I've only had the phone for about a month. I thought maybe it was the speed dial thing, but even when I push the numbers it still does that. Or it takes a while to start ringing. I get really frustrated with it because what if the call was important or something?

Like I said my boyfriend has the exact same phone (for like 2 months, but he's really rough with it) and it does the same thing.

Yeah it really sucks and really annoying. I thought maybe i was pressing the hang up button with my cheek or something

I have a Shine purchased in March of this year and it has the same problem. I think it's just a recurring bug they never got around to fixing. I don't even notice when it happens anymore.

maybe when u are holding it the slider could accidentally move, and make it think that you want it 2 hang up. LOL
