I want to know where i can buy one of those, i been to Wirless wave but they said they don't have one? Bell sold out last time i went, and London Drugs had one of digital camera (or can they work for cell phones any ways?)
I've been watning one for awhile now, because i want to use mp3s for my cell phone instead of downloading true tones, and pay for uploading pics... i also want to download pictures onto my phone that i can use for a wallpaper...
Futureshop, london drugs, or any camera store should have them.
What is your memory card type?
I bought a universal one at london drugs for $4.99 in the discount bin and it reads 16 types of memory cards.
Cuz data cables for phones are usually more expensive and difficult to aquire.
Edit:
And also, the transfer rate with a cable is usually slower than with a card reader.
Annd, people might not also want to clutter their computers with phone drivers and software.
=]
If there's no software, you could have gone to the phone's website and download the software from there so that you can use the cable. But if you've opened up your new "modem thing" I guess you're stuck with it...
I don't have experience with phone that came with memory card. I transfer photos from and to my phone using a cable that I bought from E-Bay.
to my knowledge, there aren't any phones that use standard SD cards for memory with the exception of the larger smartphones/PDA phones. you probably use miniSD or microSD, but those memory cards usually come with adapters to "upsize" them to standard SD.
In any case, just about any computer store (anitec, atic, ncix, futureshop, best buy, the source, etc etc) will stock memory card readers. you really shouldn't be spending more than about $10 on them these days.
NCIX should sell all in one card adapters for the computer-they have ones that include SD, Mini SD, micro SD. you can check it out, they have a few different locations you can go pick up at so no need to charge for shipping.
