Re: bank jobs?

You can get a job at the back with practically any degree as long as you can show them you can do basic math.

Re: bank jobs?

What about the training... I mean is it just on hand training or do you have to like go through a training course?

Re: bank jobs?

My friend got hired at BMO, he doesn't have any post secondary training or is going to school. He just has a high school graduation and yah, just need to do good on the interviews lol.
He said he had full time training at the downtown location for 1 month i think. they train you what to do if you get robbed as well as teller responsibilities. when u finish training you will be partnered up at the location that you are suppose to work at and they just kind watch and help you out.

Re: bank jobs?

starting wages depends on which bank/credit union that u work at, and maybe which location u will be working in

vancity starts around 15/hr
bmo around 13/hr, or 15/hr if u want to work dt

theres about 4-6 weeks of full time training, so apply near summer? unless ur taking the semester off...

Haha..which bank do you go to?
Mine only has middle aged ladies. There was this one memorable time when a younger girl had an immense push-up bra with cleavage up to her neck....totally unprofessional...But that's about as exciting as it gets.

I usually go to the TD downtown, the one on Vic/Kingsway, or the one in King Ed Village.
