i read the 24 hrs and it said that vancouverites are rude.

i definetly don't think that i am rude. I have been to other places that have ppl being very unfriendly. ie, britain, asia

there are some rude vancouverites, but i dont think i would consider myself rude. Most people i've encountered with in vacnouver are nice...

I definetly dont think everyone in vancouver is rude but i definetly have met more rude ppl then friendly or nice. I think its just that some ppl in vancouver are too uptight..well maybe thats not the word i dunno but theyre just not laid back enough

No way is Vancouver rude. Yes, we may have the odd rude person (I mean, not everyone is super-duper nice), but for the most part, I think that most Vancouverites are very nice. I've been known to stop and give people directions, open doors for people (male and female), etc. etc. Every city is going to have some rude people and the quacks, but for the most part, I think we're nicer than most other cities.

Some people in Vancouver are rude but there are rude people everywhere not just in Vancouver. Smaller communities most times tend to be friendlier.

in general, i find that most vancouverites are nice, especially in our suburbs.


but there seems to be a lot of frustrated and rude people in our downtown core... must be work/stress related.

hmm, I dont think that they should just go out
and say that we're rude, sure some of the
people here are but it doesnt mean we all are.
it's just not fair to judge everyone like that

ya i jsut read that article from 24 today. i couldnt believe taht they say we vancouverites are rude.i can never imagine it. well maybe i don't travel a lot to other places and cant compare.

Try visiting San Francisco. Those ppl are rude. Cars honk at pedestrians even though we have the right of way to walk. Every second there would be a honk. Driving in San Fran is a Gong Show!!! The city is nice but the ppl are not so friendly.

for sure asian countries are wayyyyyyyyy ruder, like the san fransisco described... but worse,. if they know your from outta the country they'll jack up the prices and all that

I would say that some vancouverites are rude, but moreover a lot of them are FAKE.

i guess those ppl or visitors that think we are rude just met some bad ppl.i think they ccant just judge a few ppl and think we are all like that :@

come on meng theirs gonna be rude ppl everywher u go ok. sometimes we are rude too if we had a bad day.

I remember reading that in 24hrs a couple days ago.

The part where the guy was ranting about people pretending to be asleep so they don't have to get up for the eldery on the bus is so true. I HATE it when people (mostly preteen girls or middle-aged woman from what I've seen) look away or pretend to be asleep. Don't you just wanna smack them? Omg.
