Description: Oakridge Centre will be hosting a Chinese New Year Celebration on Saturday, February 24, 2007 from 10:30 AM - 1 PM.
Ring in the year of the Pig with the following feature stage performances:
- Eye-Dotting ceremony with audience participation,
- Chinese Sequined Dragon Dance,
- Chinese Gold Southern Malaysian Chinese Lion Dance,
- Chinese Baby Blue Lucky Lion on Jong apparatus. Following the stage performances, the Red Lion will be visiting participating Oakridge retailers for merchant blessings.

CNY is on feb 7 this year! just wondering how many of you still celebrate and keep your traditions & cultures important. i know i am =) a lil feast, get together with family+ friends, stay up late, watch movies, go to temple... i'm upset because my school has planned a math midterm on the day & eve of cny. my school's aobut 35%chinese, 60 % azn
i usually don't go to school on cny...because i mean noone goes to skewl on jan.1 ! we celebrate on cny eve, by the time i wake up next day ...it's like 12.
do you guys think i'm being a bit niffy? too upset about my school..i mean it's only 2 days..all they had to do was look at the calendar...am i 2 sensitive?

OAKRIDGE CENTRE CHINESE NEW YEAR FESTIVITIES
To welcome the auspicious and special animal, the “Lucky” RAT, Oakridge Centre will be hosting a special celebration on Saturday, February 09th, 2008 beginning at the hour of 10:30AM-11:30AM for the staging performances and from 11:30AM thru till 1:00PM for the Valued Merchants’ Lion Visitations and Blessings!
The services will entail Chinese Lion Dance Performances, complete with a “Lucky” tour of Oakridge Centre during the Valued Merchant’s Lion Visitations and Blessings to various participating merchants, whosoever will wish to have their business establishment blessed by the “Lucky” RED Chinese Lion to bring in prosperity, good luck, and good money for the year! This entertainment feature will be spectacular, boisterous, and will bring good luck to everyone who will come to enjoy our special Chinese New Year Celebration, exclusively at Oakridge Centre. We wish everyone a very Prosperous, Lucky, Healthy, and Happy Chinese New Year!
