Re: Entertainment Book 2007

The entertainment book is awesome, if you're worried about it being a good deal for you, keep in mind that they have about 10 coupons for $5.00 off at Safeway which is $50 in savings straight away. Also, there's lots of coupons for BOGO free entrees at high-end restaurants in Vancouver as well as stuff like Burger King, Dairy Queen, Orange Julius etc. THey also have coupons for golf courses, climbing centres, and other local attractions. I definitely got my money's worth last year. If you like rock climbing, there's a coupon for buy one get one free climbing course at either the Edge or Cliffhanger - it's an $80 course, so if you go with a friend it makes it $40 each!

Question Re: Entertainment Book 2007

There are people selling the books at different prices. I've heard of $45, $43, lowest at $30.... why is that?

Re: Entertainment Book 2007

I don't know why the different prices, maybe some are subsidized by their school programs? But if you are a BCAA member I believe you can get one for free, but not until Dec.

Re: Entertainment Book 2007

Restaurants/stores who advertise in the book get them cheaper($30 this year) and school and sports teams use them as fundraisers so they charge more. In the past few years, the books normally go for about $47. I was able to get one at $30 this year from a friend of a friend who works for one of the restaurants in the book. Pre-ordered around Sept and took 2 weeks for delivery.

Read up on this thread. Fionaaa sells them but I doubt she'll sell it to you for only $30. You'd have to know someone personally to get that rate.

I live in Vancouver while a good friend of mine lives in Surrey so I tore out the entire chunk of Surrey coupons and gave it to him to use

Re: Entertainment Book 2007

thats an awesome idea. because theres so many coupons in there to like places way out in north van or other places i don't spend much time so it's nice to not let them go to waste.
