Fashion Help!

I decided to build my wardrobe with
-Jeans
-Polos
-T-Shirts (nice desgin or graphic)
-Hoddies
-Sweaters
-Long sleves that look nice
-A few dress shirts that dont putting in pants
-Nike black airforce 1's and adidas superstars black and white

Im going to buy these clothes soon but still dont know where and what styles and what kind to get etc.

Is this considered a good wardrobe, if Missing anything? feel free to add

What im trying to get at is that i want to know what styles should i get for each clothing from the list above. For example jeans, what color of jeans? What style? Boot cut, straight leg etc? I dont want my jeans to look thugish or tight to the bone, i want them to look normal. For polos, pattern or no pattern and what color, again no tight to the bone stuft or thuggish stuft. Etc for the rest of the listed items.

Plus please recommend me brands that are good and not so expensive while looking good thanks! =)

Re: Fashion Help!

First off, please don't use the word "gay" to imply weird or stupid-looking clothing, I find it rather offensive. By "gay," do you mean the jeans that gay people wear, or what? If you do, I have to point out that gay people wear normal clothes like you and I.

Second, I think for jeans, you should have both light and dark washes. I like boot-cut styles myself and I find that it's a style that looks good on anyone with any type of shoes.

I don't know what you look like in person, so I can't really suggest a type of pattern for your polos; it really depends on your skin tone, body size, and personal taste. I don't wear polos because I kind of think it's out of style now, though don't let that stop you if that's what you really want; it's just my two cents.

T-shirts are universal, nice graphic designs are cool. You can get those at Bluenotes or American Eagle. I prefer longer t-shirts myself so I can layer it under hoodies and stuff, or just hide my big butt.

Re: Fashion Help!

For jeans I think all the girls agreed that plain dark wash denim was essential. Bootcut would probably be most neutral (not thugish or "gay"). I think you should have at least one other option for pants... like beige khakis or a more intresting medium wash denim. But you could probaby get away with only having dark wash.
For shirts it's best to have a bit of everything. Plain white and black ones for days you want to blend, but also some more interesting colours like forest green, burgundy, beige, etc.
I think you will need a slightly more dressy looking shoe to wear with the dress shirts. Jeans are fine, but the shoes are a little too casual - good picks, but casual.
Brands: Adidas is an awesome place to go for mens hoodies and track jackets. It's colourful stuff though if you're okay with that. You can find some awesome and cheap t-shirts and long-sleeved shirts at buffalo. Le chateau also has some great dress shirts for a decent price.
