Store refund and exchange policy - please list!

I thought it would be interesting to start a list of store refund and exchange policies that everyone has encountered, so that in case you are thinking of buying something somewhere, you won't fall into their trap (esp after reading about that Ipod incident at LD). For the ones I know of:

Walmart: 90 Day Refund/Exchange Policy

Mexx: 30 day refund on regular priced merchandise; 14 day exchange/store credit on promotion & sale items

Suzy Shier: 14 day exchange/store credit only

Le Chateau: Exchange / store credit only

Old Navy: 90 day refund / exchange on all items. If no receipt available, you get store credit mailed to you.

Anyone else care to share?

Sport Chek - 60 day refund, made in same form of payment
Urban Planet - 14 day exchange or store credit only

Those are the only 2 receipts I found that I haven't chucked yet. This thread is a great idea, btw!

Chanel - says on reciept: No cash refunds. For store credit, merchandise purchased at this location can be returned within 14 days of purchase in original condition, accompanied by proof of purchase.

Louis Vuitton - says on receipt: Merchandise in saleable condition may be returned for store credit or exchanged within 14 days of purchase when accompanied by a sales receipt. Store credits are valid for one year from date issued.

Superstore - says on receipt: Refund/Exchanges will be considered within 14 days with valid receipt

Off The Wall - says on receipt: All regular priced items can be exchanged or refunded within 15 days with receipt, unwashed, unworn and tags attached. Clearance items are a final sale. All accessories, swimsuits, and intimate apparel are a final sale.

TNA - says on receipt: It's a woman's prerogrative to change her mind. We will gladly exchange or refund (in original tender) regular-priced merchandise within 10 days of purchase. After this time, an exchange or credit note will be issued for a period of up to 21 days from the original purchase. Merchandise must not be washed, worn or damaged. All original tags must be intact and accompanied by a valid receipt. All sale items, undergarments, socks, tights and layaways are a final sale. Unfortunately, no exchanges or returns will be accepted on these items. Gift cards may not be returned for refund. For holiday gift purchases, please refer to applicable Holiday Exchange or Return Policy Cards.

La Vie En Rose - receipt says: For hygienic reasons, no refunds or exchanges on panties, teddies and swimwear. Return or exchange on unworn, unwashed items within 30 days with original invoice. With gift receipt, exchange only. Sale is final on sale items.

Plenty - receipt says: Regularly priced items with original receipt and intact tags may be returned within 7 days.

Canadian Tire - receipt says: To return an item for exchange or refund, bring it to any Canadian Tire store within 90 days, in its original condition and packaging, with your receipt and issue of Canadian Tire 'Money'. Valid photo ID may be required. Details at our Customer Service desk. Some restrictions may apply.

Aldo - receipt says: We are proud to offer a high standard of customer service for the return or exchange of merchandise. Unworn merchandise may be returned in its original box, with the receipt, for an exchange or a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Refunds will take form only in the manner in which payment was made. If you do not have your receipt, unworn merchandise may be returned in its original box for an exchange equal to the current selling price of the original purchase. All returns and exchanges must be made in the original country of purchase. Final sale on all earrings.

Regardless of each store's exchange policy, I'm sure if you prove your point with substantial reasoning, the store's manager will give you what you want.

Bought a pair of boots today at Holt Renfrew. Here's their return policy...

Holt Renfrew - says on receipt: Exchange or refund at Holt Renfrew with invoice within 15 days, if the merchandise is not worn.

That's true. But with me, sometimes I have "impulse buying" syndrome . I don't think I'm witty enough to think of a good 'excuse' for returning stuff!

General Return Policy
Regular priced merchandise in the original condition may be returned for exchange or refund within 28 days with receipt of purchase. If no receipt is available we will refund the merchandise for the last known sale price on an Electronic Gift Card.

hmm theres a law that any any any!! item that you purchase has a.. its called a "7 day cooling period" where whatever you buy you can return within 7 days if you have tags on and receipt. since receipt is like your proof of purchase right. so if you have a receipt than whatever it is you can return it in 7 days.

im almost 100% sure it works for everything. even cars or like a 2 year contract. you basically have 7 days to "try it out" and that time to return it.

;) just so you guys know :)!!

Bluenote - return/echange until January 13, 2007. No returns/exchange on Dec.26,27 or 28

Guess? - returns and exchages with oringinal receipt & tahs attatched up to 30 days after purchase. Sale items may be
exchanged or returned for merchandise return card only

American Eagle - retuens with a reciept will be refunded in the manner in whcih the original purchase was made. Returns without a receipt are exchangeable for merchandise or an AE Gift Card in the amount of the current selling price.
