Looking for...
I need things for prom =T I can only go around Metrotown and Richmond (lack of transport! And direction! =P)
This is my dress: ![]() Shawl: I need a shawl to complete my outfit. I have a navy blue dress. I want a see through shawl because it would match better. I went to Adora at Metro and they had one but it costed $20 because it had beads on it. The plain ones are $9 but they were solid colours. I don't want to spend so much on something I don't even like that much... So does anyone know where else I can buy a shawl that doesn't cost too much? On cloudS' suggestion, does anyone know where I can buy fabric that looks similar to the see through fabric on the picture above? Bag: I need a small bag (probably not a clutch... I'd like a handle ^^) for prom as well. Some I found that were surprisingly expensive for such a small thing. Actually, what's a good price for one? Shoes: I already have my heels for prom. I just want new shoes =] I really want skate shoes... but they're all so expensive! Does anyone know where I can find a nice, cheap-ish shoe store? I went to a lot of shoe stores at Metrotown already (for my heels) so if there are any in Richmond or somewhere... please tell me! And tell me the price too! Oh, I'm a size 5-5.5 US/CAN. It's really hard to find 5s... I went all over Metrotown and only 2 stores had only one or two pairs of 5s and Payless had a small section. =( Last edited by summerheaven : 09-05-2007 at 09:35 PM. |

Re: Looking for...
I don't think you really need a shawl because last year I got one with my dress and I found it really annoying carrying it around. Later on I just stuffed it in my bag. So unless you really, really want one I advise you not to get one. And if you want to get one, the cheapest option would be making your own. Just go into any fabric store, buy the fabric and sew it up.
About the bag, I got my clutch from Xcetera in Metrotown for only $24 so you could try looking there. Just don't buy one that is too expensive because you are probably going to use it once. Hope that helps! |

On that note, does anyone know where I can buy see through fabric? And how much would it cost for a... shawl-length sheet? =P I'm sure i'll never use the clutch again... I like medium-ish bags. I'll try and find a cheap one. I don't need it to be fancy or durable =P |

Re: Looking for...
yea i dont think a shawl is necessary~ but 20 bucks for a shawl is about the avg price. but i think it would be nice if u could wear a black little fur coat or just the short sleeves ones~ coz tat'd be really cute!!
and as for shoes...I got mine (3 yrs ago) from Sterlings~ it was around 100~ I think its worth it to spend a little more on shoes, coz then u can wear it again~ and as for bags, i got a black one from suzy shier for abt 18 and a white one from bently and i forgot the price~ but you will see alot of places selling them once the prom season approaches
