Boxing Day (Last Year): Best Deals?

I'm really looking forward to boxing day this year 'cause I'm gonna have everything planned out instead of rushing into it blindly A lot of stores don't break out the awesome deals until January since they know people will shop on boxing day no matter what . So, to help me (and others) plan it all out, what were the best deals last year? Which stores were a MUST to shop at?

Here's what I have so far (boxing day 2006):
Future Shop: 2 GB iPod Nano $119.99 (reg. price $159.99 but they don't sell these anymore), other really good deals on electronics
Footlocker Outlet: 20% off lowest-ticketed price (Nike Air Force I high-tops are now $49.99, Adidas Superstar II Metalliks are now $29.99, etc. - so an extra 20% will be pretty sweet)
French Connection: "fcuk" shirts $19.99, deal on "FCUK" sweaters
H&M: Buy one, get one free
Hollister: Winter coats $50 (reg. price $150)
Roots: 50% off everything

Not-so-good deals:A&F: Normal prices, normal sale prices ($20 to $25 shirts, $70 sweaters)
Bebe: 60% off already reduced
Footlocker: 20% off everything (not as good as their buy one, get one 50% off deal every few months; not as good as the outlet)
Hollister: Normal prices, normal sale prices ($15 to $20 shirts, $50 sweaters)
Lululemon: 15% off already reduced

Wondering about:
Coach, Costa Blanca, Esprit, Forever 21 (wasn't open in Toronto last year), Garage, Guess, La Senza, Limite, Old Navy, Smart Set, Urban Behavior, anything else

Re: Boxing Day (Last Year): Best Deals?

i think coach is about 25% off or so...
espirit--> go to the one in queensborough..really good deals, but don't drive there..its gunan be packed full of cars
@La senza..normal bras were $8.50, leggings were 8 bucks last year!
ub & costa blanca were pretty good (not as great as family and friends event)
guess = 25% off everything i believe + 10% for spc
fcuck was either 40 or 50% off

Re: Boxing Day (Last Year): Best Deals?

on Boxing day it's 50% all for Urban B/Costa B. It's the same as FF sale and u have to line up to get in AND to pay = =; not worth it.

GUESS and BEBE is most likely gonna have extra discounts on SALE items as usual.

and wow H&M has buy one get one free?!?!!??!?!? is it ONLY on Boxing day? O__________O

Re: Boxing Day (Last Year): Best Deals?

boxing day is honestly useless .. i remember 2 years ago I got to the mall by 7 bought nothing went to a friends slept for a bit went downtown & got nothing again .. and I had a credit card ( im in high school so .. ) and last year i didnt bother at all cause honestly the line ups & everything aren't worth it, you'd have the same sales maybe even cheaper later on thats why its boxing week

Re: Boxing Day (Last Year): Best Deals?

^ Yeah, there'll hopefully be better deals this year because of how well our dollar is doing. Usually stores just have lame sales on boxing day/week since they know consumers will buy their products no matter what. A lot of the prices are marked up $10 from the US prices... so I'm really hoping that stores don't just put out the same, lame "20% off selected merchandise" because they'll still be making about the same amount as if it were full price a year ago.

Stores like Hollister and A&F are NOT really worth going to on boxing day or boxing week... throughout boxing week last year the lines were about 45 minutes to get INTO the store and 45 minutes to pay. The deals weren't even great either. I'm talking about the stores at Sherway Gardens and Toronto Eaton Centre.

I KNOW! I HATE lame sales! and especially if they're old merchandaise and poor selection. I despise stores that don't pass on the savings (i.e. sell the marked-up prices from American)..may they lose tons of customers cuz they're making 'black money'
