Re: prom dress....formal wear

I got my grad dress (new) from ebay - it was a really good deal (BCBG for 200, retail was about 600).

Or you can also check evening dresses at bluefly.com.

But then again there's a risk to buying online without being able to trying them on prior to purchase.

It's a store that sells second-hand items. You leave them (the store) with your clothing and when it sells, you collect a portion of the money.
Something along those lines?

Re: prom dress....formal wear

Hm...I don't know. I've never been in one. I know some consignment stores sell both 2nd and new items. I believe it's all laid out like a normal store, maybe they have tags saying what's new/used??
Anyone recommend any consignment stores worth going to?

Re: prom dress....formal wear

Hmm, well that store that I mentioned earlier is not a consignment store, there just a really cheap online store. I have another friend that is getting her winter formal dresses there.....oh, and whoever initiated this post for find an inexpensive dress, that have free ground shipping! you can never go wrong with that. I went to an online halloween store, and the shipping cost were unbelievably expensive...

Re: prom dress....formal wear

Do consignment stores sell real designer handbags?
B/c I've seen gucci bags @ consignment stores before but I was a bit skeptical...since people are bringing in their items for sale, it could be a fake and we don't know if the store owners authenticate each item.
