price matching at london drugs, staples, etc..

FYI, i hope most of you are aware of how price matching works at most major retailers like London Drugs, Staples, etc.

Here's an example of London Drug's price matching (from answers.com):

London Drugs pricing is usually in line with other major retailers on most items. In the event that a product is on sale at a competitor though, London Drugs will match the pricing as long as it is the same product (i.e.: not a different model), the price is verifiable and the competitor has it in stock.

The London Drugs price guarantee also extends for 30 days after the date of purchase as well, meaning if the price of an item drops within a month of the customer purchasing it they can return within that month to claim the new lower price. London Drugs will also take returns on items up to 15 days after the date of purchase provided the customer has the original receipt and the product is returned in its original packaging with all included accessories present.

However, what I didn't know before (from reading this) is that you can do this more than once. For example, in my case, i bought something at london drugs for $99.99. I didn't bother shopping around because i really wanted this item. A week later I saw this item at staples for $89.99 so i prompt returned to london drugs to get $10 back. I bought myself lunch.

Then just recently, I noticed best buy is selling this item for $59! So after speaking with my friend who works at staples, he told me i can go back to london drugs again to get $30 back! I'm definitely going to the keg after i go back to london drugs.

So what i'm trying to say is that you can keep taking advantage of the price matching policy as long as the price drops occur within the 30 day window.

Anyone else have a similar experience to share?

I did something like that before. I bought a digital camera for 150, at Future Shop, then it went on sale at Best Buy for 140, so I went back to Future Shop and get the $10, and they also give you an additional deduction which is the 10% of the difference in pricing. So I got like $1 off, cause the price difference was $10 and 10% of $10 is $1. At least its better than nothing I guess.

I had that happen at Bestbuy..

I got this LCD tv for $1,599 before christmas
and it dropped down to like $1,299 after christmas

Aw man! I got my digital camera from there a few years ago at full price, then they dropped the price down by $10 or $20 in the next 2 weeks. :( If only I had known...
