Post-Shopping guilt

Oh my goodness...just in the last couple of days I bought 5 pairs of shoes. It felt SO satisfying when I made the purchase, but now I feel soooooooo guilty for spending unnecessarily and I want to return my shoes. Thing is I knew I'd regret it later too. Don't you just hate when that happens?

And also, they looked so good when i bought them, but now they're kinda meh.. not that great afterall. I haven't even worn them and I've lost interest.. how pathetic!

Re: Post-Shopping guilt

yeah...i have shopping regrets....both about the price and the product.

if i don't feel the item anymore. i return it. i can't force myself to like something that's "eh".

for expensive items...like jeans and purses...and i really like them..i don't have any regrets getting them..but it's just a chunk of money gone lol. i just feel for my bank account haha.

Re: Post-Shopping guilt

bumbleybumbley..omg, i know exactly what you mean. When i am purchasing it, i get this thrill for getting something I like and especially if it's a good deal.

but once i get home, i just put it aside and I feel "meh" towards them. And i don't return things either because I feel bad returning and i know i would regret returning it later on. So I have piles of new clothes and bags with tags still on them, and whenever i see them...i think "what a waste".

Re: Post-Shopping guilt

I always have shopping regrets right after I finish shopping but they usually go away in a couple of days! My biggest regret (and I STILL regret it) were the $500 Dior shades I got in L.A. in December just because I left my sunglasses at home!!!! I prefer my glasses over contacts (dry eyes) anyway so it's such a waste of money since I'll barely wear them.

omg I could never spend $500 on sunglasses, especially since I don't wear them much and i'd just be afraid of breaking or losing them. Wow! If they're still in good condition why don't you sell them?

That's exactly how I feel whenever I look at all the clothes I don't wear anymore. Like every few months when I do a mini "spring cleaning" to my closet, i think about all the money I could've saved if i didn't buy all those clothes, especially the ones i wore only once or twice.

Re: Post-Shopping guilt

I almost always have shopping regrets! I'm somewhat of a shopaholic, and I get this rush of excitement everytime I purchase something (kind of like the rush described in Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic). I go home and I realize that I don't really like/need it anymore.

I also have a thing about trying on clothes.. I don't. I'm just really lazy. So I end up buying clothes that don't fit me and I'm too lazy to return them.

Yeah they are practically brand new.. I might sell them after summer for about half but it's hard for me to let things go even if I don't wear them. Lol.

+1...

For me I feel "guilty" but I feel quite frustrated/regretting knowing that I only wore them a few times. They are not that pricy when the amount of money can add up to hundreds....some items I don't regret buying but it's such a PITA when you have to sell your stuff...esp when selling is not that easy
