Thanks, diandian! But nono, trust me inside I am a big nerd and proud of it! I just live in a family of girls (minus my gpa) so we cover alot of brands lol. From OshKosh b'gosh (lil cousins) to my mom and her lv and burberry L_L.. she's semi-obsessed, i'd say.
I think teenage/young brands are okay just as long as you don't go overboard and realize following what everyone else is wearing is effing boring as hale.
In hs I worked at AE p/t and some of my coworkers.. I guess they really loved the brand or maybe they just loved the 40% off discount, their WHOLE closet was american eagle (live your life!). Like yeah, we had to wear it for work or get yelled at/sent home but even when I saw them outside of work on the street or at parties they wore head to toe ae.. and now that they have aerie I wonder if even underneath it all.. O_O.
And don't get me started on the old supplex days !! grr.
I think as long as you have wardrobe basics to work with + some trendy stuff to spice it up it's totally cool. trends will come and go, but you still have to wear some sort of clothing everyday! at least if you don't want to get arrested.
i just have no sympathy for those to focus heavily on one or two stores/brands. Like I am not friggin gonna wear aritzia when i'm 35. gross!
There's this one white girl at SFU I totally admire. I think she's in business? b/c I always see her in WMC (business building) and her style is TOTALLY her own. Wear what you like!
plus who knows! Maybe by 35 I can afford Holts e'errday then *sunglasses.
(secretly, I would love to trade places with Victoria Beckham. I want her kids. AHA)
