Cousins visiting vancouver

My cousins are visiting vancouver in two weeks!! Woohoo!! Haven't seen them in a few months and it'll be there first time in vancouver

they'll be here for a 3 weeks but are already spending a couple of weeks going to the rockies, and going on an alaskan cruise. they'll be here for around 8 days total

i want to maximize their time here so... where should i take them?

their age ranges from 7, 13, 15 (girls); and 10 (boy)

so far i have... stanley park, aquarium, gastown/ chinatown suspension bridge

no-no's for me are:
playland (they can go to better amusement parks any time)
robson (maybe the 15 yr old might be interested, but that's it)

v13co you're going to have a really neat time in Alaska! I was there when I was 15 and I remember this glacier (forgot the name of it) but we went to this museum type place where it gives you the history of the glacier. So sad how its melting slowly from global warming. Alaska has amazing scenery and really keeps you at one with nature. If you're into that kind of stuff then you'll have a great time

I think the Children's Festival is coming up soon at Vanier Park.

Take them to one of the Gulf Islands on the ferry to go for a walk.

Whale watching? Rent kayaks? You can get doubles so the young ones don't have to paddle too much. Rent rollerblades and go around Stanley Park.

Yes, the Vancouver International Children's Festival is from May 12 - 19. Hours vary.

Check their website for details:

I also agree with bombshell regarding her suggestions. Scienceworld is great - check their website for the exhibits and other stuff happening now:

Granville Island is great, and Metrotown would be fun to cuz of all the different stores.

I personally would vote for lasertag (or paintball tag - that's fun too).

Re: Cousins visiting vancouver

A good idea is to take them on a picnic at a beach like Spanish Banks. I was just out there for a walk this morning. It was a little windy so I didn't stay long. But Spanish Banks is a nice beach area for a picnic and it gets warmer in the afternoons.
