baby's 1st birthday

hey guys,

i'm planning my son's 1st birthday and i need some help with hall rentals. it's not gonna be until dec but i figured with xmas holidays and stuff, i should probably book soon. any ideas as to where i can rent a hall (relatively affordable) for about 150-200 people, do they provide anything (such as food warmers, utensils, etc), and if it's a banquet hall, can we bring our own alcohol? thanks for you help!!!

Re: baby's 1st birthday

lol, no, not a religious thing. for alot of asian people, it's the 1st month that's big but we didnt do a big celebration for is 1 month so we decided that we're gonna do it for his 1st year instead. we kinda liked the idea anyway cause when a baby's 1 month old, they're not really aware of too much, lol. dad's black so it wasn't a big deal that we didn't do the 1st month celebration. just had a small party.

Re: baby's 1st birthday

why not have it at an asian or chinese restaurant? i know many people book a small restaurant or even part of the restaurant for this. they just put up a screen so it's more private..

Re: baby's 1st birthday

yeah, we were thinkin that, but we wanted to have games for the kids (pin the tail on the donkey, pinata, etc), a dj for the adults later. i know chinese rest. would let you bring your own alcohol but the noise level might b too high for the other customers.

ok, we talked it over and think that's what we're gonna do. do you have any info on good restaurants that will be more private and that allows you to pick your items instead of doing the banquet menus? thanks bombshell
