Karmaplus Zeal Hair Salon Review

[Zeal on Robson Review:]

Stylist: Atsushi (He's on holidays now til July 4th)

Cut: decent
At first he did not follow the picture I gave him, but it did look "cute"
I gave him a picture of 'Megu' from the fashion brand SEXPOTREVENGE
It seems that they're updating their site or something,
the summer 2008 online catelogue, with the picture of Megu is gone...
I'll post up the image later maybe...

Afterwards I told him to follow the picture as accurate as possible...
a decent cut overall; some blunt bits that annoyed me...

Bleaching 2x

Color: decent
Base color (light brown)
Chunks (light ash brown)
Under bangs (red brown)

Somehow the base color ended up being a fake orangy blonde.
It looked nice over my bangs but at the top of my head it looked awful.
I did get some compliments, but I wanted light brown

Re: Zeal Hair Salon Review

Continued:

Styling: Freeze spray and wax. He did NOT know how to style a jrock cut lol...
It looked like major poofy; scene hair?

--------------------

[Appointment two] The cut was ok but I decided to fix the color.
Stylist: Etsuko (I definitely recomend her!)

Color: Excellent, I replaced the base color with various of tones of ash brown.
Cut: She fixed it up
Styling: Excellent! She used xtah clay and freeze spray
She actually followed the style and showed me how to spike it + apply clay etc; gave tips of
how to maintain the color.

Overall a decent experiece at Zeal. I wouldn't say I was too disappointed in Atsushi, he was
way better than Yuki at Chura who massacred my hair...
Thumbs up for Etsuko

Some extra random blabberings: They have chairs that massage and a lady named June? offered me coffee, tea or water.

Re: Zeal Hair Salon Review

Ya, Etsuko is very sweet

Cut $40
Bleach $60
Bleach $60
Color $60
Highlights $70

Chura has the same prices except that their cuts start at $28.
This appointment may seem pricey, but I usually visit the salon only once a year.

Oh and in case anyone wants to know, selective chunks of color starts at $15.
