make-up stains in purses

When I carry makeup with me in my purse i normally put it in a makeup bag and then i put it in my purse because we all know how messy our makeup can get sometimes - usually from eyeliner or dried mascara clumps on eyelash curlers. Well just recently when i went out with my gfs one of them decided to put her stuff in my bag b/c she didn't want to carry a bag herself. She put it in herself and I had thought it was only her wallet and cellphone.. therefore I hadn't realized that she put her makeup in my bag alone without a case and i later found black stains all over the inside. I'm extremely upset about this considering its my favourite purse. It sucks how people care less when its not something of their own... well anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get it out. Its either eyeliner or mascara but its little black clumps that got smeared around. I was thinking of trying just makeup remover and dabbing it but I just want to hear some feedback before trying anything as I don't want to smear it or make it worse! Any suggestions?

yeah! eye make up remover works wonders.

sometimes the crayon part of my eye liner breaks off and falls onto my carpet...and i dunno..so i step on it so there's black smudges...but when i use eye make up remover and scrub with a towel..the stains r gone
