that's just adorable. me and a friend did something similar to that but we made cookies instead and decorated them. it was our first time decorating cookies so we were pretty noob at it but we tried! took us so long =( plus, the icing we bought at safeway sucked. it came out too thick cus the opening was retarded..and might i add that our first batch was all burnt. i suck at baking but i love the fun of it <3

aww thanks haha

you guys should have made your own icing! or use canned frosting and then dye it with food coloring. for some reason, prepacked icing tastes really icky to me, haha

Re: Cooking/baking picture thread!

those look so good!!

i wish i could bake but i never had the discipline to measure stuff. i like cooking better cause you can easily add stuff to make it taste better but with making it takes a lot of experience to know when something will be right

i second that!
i think if i had a better kitchen and the right tools i would cook more...
but my kitchen doesn't even have any counter space, and i don't even have a rubber spatula in my house...
kinda sad... and i get easily frustrated when my mom keeps telling me what do and how to do a certain thing when she has no idea herself...

like the other day i made this cream cheese shrimp dip.... soo for weeks she tells me oh i should cook more at home and stop eating out so much.. so i start making small sandwiches, dips etc... she goes and says "isn't that really fattening? that's not good for u" i just got soo pissed and i was like "it's not like i don't work out..."

OMG that is really annoying! That's one of my biggest pet peeves - when my parents think it's OK to butt into every little thing I do, especially when it comes to food and eating. That's kinda why I don't really eat meals with them anymore, I take my food and eat in my room. And normally, I only eat the food I prepared myself or bought.

haha same!
like i tell my mom not to buy a certain type of food or snack because i won't eat it, cuz i just don't like it.. but she would keep buying it telling me it's healthy, and i should eat if even if i don't like it and doesn't taste good...
like wtf.
