Apple Bottoms Jeans: Sizing?

Does anyone own a pair of Apple Bottoms jeans? I heard they make your derriere look fantastic

I've been looking at them on eBay, and the sizing/measurements seemed odd to me. A size 1/2 has a 12" waist, and size 3/4 has a 13.5" waist (measurement across the top). The measurements seem really small to me (I usually wear size 0 or 24, 14" across), so I'm wondering which size would fit me the best? Or perhaps the jeans are REALLY stretchy?

So here's my question... Are they true to size or do you need to size up?

Re: Apple Bottoms Jeans: Sizing?

I don't think they run true to size. When I was in NY last month, I tried on some Apple Bottoms shirts and jeans, and they didn't run true to size. I usually fit a size M or sometimes L top, and i couldn't even get the L top over my chest, and even the XL was small fitting.

I tried on the normal size I wear in jeans, and they didn't even come close to fitting. It may have just been that particular style (as they didn't have many styles at this one store to choose from).

Don't completely take my word on it, but this was my experience last month. It could have simply been the particular jeans and shirts I was trying on, and not necessarily all their items.

I do admit though that I liked their style and had they had a better selection of Apple Bottoms, I would have tried on more items.

Good Luck!!

Oh, and be careful if you're considering buying on EBAY, as they could easily be fakes on there.

Re: Apple Bottoms Jeans: Sizing?

^ Yeah, eBay has tons of fake merchandise. I'm usually pretty good at picking out the authentic from the fake.

Thanks for your reply... their sizing seems really off/odd. Perhaps it would be better if I went to a store to try the pants on first >.<

I really do like their designs, though, especially their hoodies.

Re: Apple Bottoms Jeans: Sizing?

OH, i completely agree!! That's why I wanted to pick up a couple of items in NY b/c i knew that they wouldn't have them here! But it wasn't totally on my list of things to HAVE to get, so i didn't really bother checking around much.

Ya, i'd recommend going and trying on some sizings to see how they fit. You just never know.....

Re: Apple Bottoms Jeans: Sizing?

^ Yeah, there are some stores here in Toronto that carry Apple Bottoms but they always have size mediums and larges, and almost never the smaller sizes. Especially the hoodies - they're so cute but so big; I find that the hoodies fit true to size. Actually, a lot of the "urban" brands don't much XS stock =(

Re: Apple Bottoms Jeans: Sizing?

I don't own a pair, but I went to metro with 2 of my friends and i tried them on in a size 1/2 (for reference, I am a 23 in R&R, 24 in TRs and Citizens). They fit pretty nice, except for the bum, which looked kinda wierd. One of my friends said the same thing when she tried them on, and we both have average sized bums I believe it is because Apple Bottoms are meant for girls with more curves. My other friend bought a pair, though, and it fits her really well and they are definitely my favorite jeans of hers
