okay,im really confused about jean sizes. (i know im dumb) haha, okay how do the sizes work?
because im a size 7 and i always thought a size 7 is equivalent to size 28.. am i right? but then i saw on the apple bottoms sizing thread and crownme mentioned that she's a size 0/24.. is the sizing like this? 0 - 24 2 - 25 3 - 26 4 - 27 5 - 28 6 - 29 7 - 30 or like this: 7 - 28 6 - 27 5 - 26 4 - 25 3 - 24 2 - 23 1 - 22 ? lol im so confused thanks for the help!Last edited by -stuff : 05-04-2008 at 09:32 PM. |

Re: Sizes
for high end brands im size 0/24 so you go up...
1/25 2/26 3/27 i would say you'er 2nd set is totally off..theres no way a size 27 = 6

Re: Sizes
^ i think i agree with you. *sigh* wish all brands had equal sizings. gets me frustrated when i see that i'm size 4 at some places and 2 at other places. when i goto stores with small sizings and see that i'm size 4-6 i end up not buyingi the product cuz i feel fat. vice versa etc.

Re: Sizes
I don't think there's a 'set' scale for jean sizing, especially since there's such a vast number of stores and brands out there. You should probably best off going into different stores and trying on different sizes.. I know one marketing technique, brands will have jeans that say 0 but really fit like a 3... It leads women to believe they're skinnier and all that... ANYWAYS I'm going so off-topic!
If it helps, I'm a size 3 / 26. |

Re: Sizes
It really depends on the brand. I think size 28 is equivalent to a size 7 and 8. So if you're at the smaller side of 28 then go with 7? But if you're at the bigger side or middle of 28, then go with 8. Are there even size 7 in Canada? I heard we get all the even sizes like 0,2,4,6,8 and Americans get the odds.

Re: Sizes
Designer sizing is different from Regular standard apparel sizing.
Designer sizing is usually smaller... for example. I'm a size 23/24 in designer jeans, but If I get jeans from American Eagle or Garage or something else, I'm a 25/26. This is usually equivalent to a size 0 in pants and 0/1 in dresses. Like some peole said, it depends on the brand you're buying. |

Re: Sizes
Well, in Guess jeans, I'm usually a 26. In Bluenotes jeans, I'm usually a 27. In Garage jeans... hoo boy those Garage jeans... I can be a 27 or a 28. In Roxy jeans, I'm a 5, in Bongo jeans, I'm a 3, and in moto jeans, I'm a 27.
Hope that helped a bit! |

Re: Sizes
0 - 24
2 - 25 3 - 26 4 - 27 5 - 28 6 - 29 7 - 30 i think that would make more sense, since im 00 and im size 23. but yeah i agree with v13co, it really depends what kind of jeans cus they all fit differently. that's what i hate about jeans! =( u wont know your size, unless u have personally tried them on ... sigh*
