Community Center day Camps hiring

Hey, if any of you guys love taking care of kids, check out your local community center for jobs. Here's just some info i know. depending on each community center they might vary a bit, but its pretty much around the same for most of them.

Deadlines are coming up soon (mid april - end of april depending on your position) for the east van community centers..so check soon!
Pay: 10-12$ an hour + holiday pay
Hours: monday- friday, some are monday- thursday. and they run from around 8:30ish-around 3 and you must be there everyday since it's a JOB

these are summer day camps...so its summer only(:
you must be available from mid june - august 22nd
--> i know you guys have exams, provicinals etc so june is pretty much just planning for the activities + places you are bringing your kids to
--> july + 1/2 of august = being at the day camp
kids range from 6-12. some are camps for young kids only (4-6ish)

some of the basic requirements are:
- must be returning to school fulll time in september 08
- emergency first aid certification
- all crimes must be cleared!

thanks for the post, sw33tsmil3s! i'm desperate for a job, hahaha.. where can you get an emergency first aid certification?

you can take it at youl local community centre or at the st johns ambulance headquarters which is right next to oakridge center. i got mine for $150. it's a 2 day course btw

wow i think we paid $15 to get it taught to us at school for a few days ..

are you sure thats not level A? thats what they taught me at school, CPR only

ask your local community center, if they are, just drop off resumes there or email to whoever is in charge of it at that community center

I remember volunteering for summer daycamp at a community centre! It was pretty fun. Probably more fun to get paid for it too. haha
