filling out application form
i just got a application form and there's some things i'm unsure of how to fill out.
1) what do i write in "salary desired"? 2) i'm currently attending high school, do i leave post-secondary blank? 3) what do i write for "subjects studied/degree", if i haven't completed high school yet? 4) for references, there's a part where you put the reference's company. if my reference's doesn't what a company, what do i write? 5) do i write my voluteer work in "former employers" box if there isn't a previous work experience box? 6) on sunday and saturday, i'm avaliable the whole day, what should i write? thanks (: ! Re: filling out application form
1. "salary desired" meaning, what do you expect on getting? for me,i would just put min. wage +
2. yeah you should just leave it blank 3. leave it blank also 4. 5. you should put your volutneer work there, but instead just write the event you volunteered in. hope that helps. lol |

Re: filling out application form
1) what do i write in "salary desired"? if u had a job before, lets just say you got paid $8.50.. u should put in a number like $9.00 for salary desired..but if it's your first job, don't be too greedy =) it's basically what u want to get in this position or what u think u deserve i guess..
2) i'm currently attending high school, do i leave post-secondary blank? yes 3) what do i write for "subjects studied/degree", if i haven't completed high school yet? leave it blank 4) for references, there's a part where you put the reference's company. if my reference's doesn't what a company, what do i write? just write what u did and give number + name of whoever hired you 5) do i write my voluteer work in "former employers" box if there isn't a previous work experience box? yes 6) on sunday and saturday, i'm avaliable the whole day, what should i write? application forms doesn't have to be formal. i'm pretty sure on the top of any application work will ask you when you are available at. if not, just write "available on sat/sun anytime"

Re: filling out application form
for some reason i am so surprised that many of us don't know how to fill out an application form. i really thought they would teach that in hs... especially career prep.
1. if this is your first job write down around the minimum wage. you don't want to ask too much and not get it or too little that they pay you less. and if you do have job experience write down what you are actually looking for or what you have hear other employees getting. 2. just fill out the higschool part since you are not in post secondary yet. 3.you don't write anything for subjext studied/degree because you are not in post secondary and not taking something specific. 4. (don't understand the question) 5. it usually says volunteer/work experience in the same area... 6. either write "anytime" or "flexible" i hope that helps =) |

Re: filling out application form
I'm thinking of getting a new job, I've had 2 previous jobs and good work experience/volunteer work. I got paid $9/hr, should I put $9.25/hr in my future applications? would they hire me 'cause it's more that $8...?

Re: filling out application form
^ are you applying for a bakery? cobs?
i think you should say how there are so many different varieties and ingredients you can add to bread. maybe include something about how fresh bread it better... btw... about the wage thing. if you had a previous job i would think you would put your wage around that wage. |
