Hi guys, so I went to a job fair for the new quiksilver store on granville and I havent heard back from them which sux cus i really want to work there and it has been almost a week so im not sure if anything is happening with that, dunno if any of you applied there either..Does anybody know if any other stores on granville are hiring, like puma or adidas store?? or any stores that arnt downtown or anything like that??

Any help would be awesome, i need a job !!!

check their websites. and apply online.
stores usually take awhile to get back to you if they're busy. when i use to work for banana republic they took week to reply back to me.

well thats the thing though for the quiksilver store, is that its not even opened yet, it opens i think in later july and there is no website for it , not either for the puma/adidas store...i guess i could just walk around with abunch of resume's and drop em off at stores id like to work at, i just wish i knew who was hiring!

puma and aididas opening on granville? where? are they hiring?
also, i heard about quicksilver, but he interviews were held in dt, so i didn't go. is the new quicksilver store in dt on granville as well? or elsewhere on granville.

no there already is a puma and adidas store on granville, i just wanted to know if anyone knew if either places were hiring. I went to the job fair downtown, and it will be a week tomorrow since I got interviewed so i dunno what is happening with that, all im saying is i need to find a job asap!!

Just apply there anyways. A lot of places do need extra help so it wouldn`t hurt to just bring in your resume! :)

Sometimes some places are hiring even if they don't have any signs up, or don't necessarily say that they are looking. Just go apply at places you'd like to work, what have you got to lose? I've gotten calls from places like that before, and you might as well try to get a job at a place you'd like to work rather than just apply at places that appear to be hiring. A lot of the time, places have their signs up year-round regardless if they really are looking for anyone anyway.

well i have an interview tomorrow for at mavi jeans, and after that im going to go around and hand my resume into abunch of stores i like, i hope that will work!

back from mavi interview, i think it went great, the girl said they r interviewing this week and calling people for 2nd interviews next week so i sure hope i get called back, then i went and dropped some resume's off at a couple other stores and im waiting for the phone to ring now!!

Has anyone here worked at mavi before or heard good things about working?Also, anyone know of any stores on 4th or broadway(that area) that are hiring??

mavi is a great company to work for
you get paid pretty well
30 percent off jeans
50 percent off every 3 months or something?
sometimes, you get a free pair of jeans just to "try" them out
also, you guys also have company dinners at nice restaurants that are paid for
oh, and since it is a big company there is always a chance to move up the ladder to other opportunities
ie. buyer, work in the mavi headquarters
