Applying makeup Q

Um I have a small question.
When applying liquid foundation (like the ones that come in bottles), do you apply with your fingers and just dab and smear or is there some sort of brush for liquid foundations?

i like to use my fingers because I think it blends better when it's a bit warm.

Re: Applying makeup Q

there is a foundation brush, it has orange bristles... you can get it at most places that sell foundation brushes. I like mac's foundation brush. you can also use a sponge or your fingers

Re: Applying makeup Q

i had a foundation brush when i use to wear foundation.. used it for awhile but then started to notice streaks and didn't clean it that often. now if i put on foundation i just use my fingers. i feel that it is faster, easier, and goes on way better. just wash your hands right before you are planning on doing it. i think it really depends on what you are use to and like. i made a thread about using fingers for foundation and everyone said that there was n/p using it as long as your hands are clean. and surprisingly many of us use our hands instead of a brush!

Re: Applying makeup Q

i think applying foundation with a brush is more hygenic then using sponges or fingers. try pumping your foundation on the back of your hand then swirl your brush lightly so you get some product but it isn't caked on the brush. then apply it on your face in circular motions to make sure it doesn't streak. and powder afterwards where needed, focusing on the t-zone area if you get oily quick.

Re: Applying makeup Q

I always just a foundation brush for liquid foundation because it blends in nicer and saves product (you'll use more of it using your fingers).

Re: Applying makeup Q

its better to apply foundation with a sponge peice because bleding the foundation with your fingertips cause the oils from your finger tips to get on your face, which could lead to pimples o.O
