makeup BASE

anyone here apply on makeup base before putting on foundation? i am looking foward in starting to use it, any suggestions? which brands are good? and what is it good for?

base is to smooth ur face out if u dun have smooth skin. i dun use foundation tho. i juss use a bit of concealer, mascara, eyeliner n gloss

i put on face lotion (wait 1-2 min) then put on compact powder..it sticks on better...and when you sweat it off during the day..it looks more natural compared to liquid foundation...cuz when that runs..it's noticable

I've bought the Benefit make up base before. It felt very smooth and nice in the beginning, but after using it for a couple months, the base became very flakey. So i don't recommend that one.

what kind of compact powder do you use?

oh just drugstore kinds. maybelline or cover girl. i'm not a spendaholic on make up. the drugstore kinds are just fine.

i know what you mean! i try not to sweat during PE now. lol because it messes up my foundation

i use lotion and then dust mac's mineral skin finish after it has dried a bit.

Covergirl has good press powders.

foundation
compact powder
loose powder

Press powder comes in a compact form, where you use a flat powder puff to put on the powder. Foundation is liquid or powder makeup that people use to cover blemishes and smooth skintones. Liquid is not good on oily skin types because when it runs, it'll look really nasty. Loose powder is powder that you can buy in a small tub that you use with a powder brush. Powder is used to set foundation and to keep it from running.
