Say Cheese... to a white face!

Now that I've got all of your attention... you can help me with my question =)

I have a foundation I use one a regular basis. I got it from Makeup Forever and one of the consultants help me pick out the right one. He literally took off all my makeup and covered my whole faae with it, so I am pretty sure it's the right colour. Anyways I am using the same fondation (bought a new one less than a month ago) and it looks fine in person... but I've been noticing in pictures that I havbe a white face. My face looks more whiter than others, and sometimes I look like a ghost! I don't use any bronzer or powder, but I do use a bit of blush (and eyeliner and coloured lip gloss).

So my question is... it my foundation the wrong colour for me?

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks in Advance =)

Re: Say Cheese... to a white face!

If it's obvious in every picture you take, then yea, i would say it's the foundation's fault.

I'd suggest bronzer or a switch in foundation shades.. what's your natural skintone?

i'll try bronzer. i have it, but i don't think i put it on properly and in the right spots. i want it to look natural, and not like a got a fake tan.

natural skin tone? umm i have no idea. but i am pretty pale...

Re: Say Cheese... to a white face!

Maybe its the flash on the camera turn the flash off then take a pic in natural light and see what your face looks like

Re: Say Cheese... to a white face!

well i know during the day you dont have to use flash if it's bright out.. but when you are taking a picture when it is dark out or in the evening outside, then you have to use flash right

Re: Say Cheese... to a white face!

If it looks to be the right shade in daylight then its the flash reflecting off the makeup. Makeup with SPF in it tends to reflect white when flash photos are taken. There isnt much you can do about it but you notice why models wear so much make up for the camera so they dont look washed out.

The studio lights are also sent differently than from a regular camera so it doesnt give off that glare.

It also reflected white because the photographer was too close to the subject. For flash shots people should be at least four feet away. And look at the shoulder of the photographer to avoid red eye. The other thing is to tell the lab to print the faces darker.
