Re: Road Trip to Alberta Baby!!!
Hmmm, if your booking hotels, i think you might have to be 21 or 25 to rent one. I've been trying to go to whislter and rent a hotel room, but you have to have someone age 25 and up to book a room. which sucks.

Re: Road Trip to Alberta Baby!!!
some hotels actually need to have a person age 25 there with you, to stay in the room with you as well.

Re: Road Trip to Alberta Baby!!!
i went to edmonton couple years ago....
it's nice if it's your first time there, the scenery in banff is gorgeous! lake louise is a nice stop - try the buffet in the hotel, it was really good... but it is expensive.. but worth it. Check out the glaciers etc. Don't have high hopes about West Ed Mall... i rather shop at metrotown than west ed. If you head south from edmonton you can go to the Royal Terrel? the dinosaur museum ... Just stock up on lots of food for the drive, make stops, and drive safe! |

Re: Road Trip to Alberta Baby!!!
To me, west edmonton mall isnt really that "special"
the only different thing is the water parks and amusement parks and stuff like that and sephora ! Other than that, pretty much the same as metrotown

WEM is good for shopping since its all under one roof - abercrombie & fitch, forever 21, hollister, H&M, Calvin Klein, Sephora etc etc etc
the waterpark is fun - i think its cheaper in the evening the indoor rides are pretty good there is also a casino old stratchcona is the trendy area with shopping cafes etc - kind of like west 4th/robson but not as many chain stores - whyte avenue the big mall downtown is Edmonton City Centre - its connected to the LRT and its connected to the pedway - which is a large underground system that connects various downtown buildings and shopping centres and 5 LRT stations holt renfrew is in manulife place downtown - its connected to the edmonton city centre mall there's the valley zoo - if you are into zoos www.valleyzoo.ca South Edmonton Common is the largest Power Centre in the north america- http://southedmontoncommon.com/ stores like Mexx, HMV, IKEA, Jacob, Liz Claiborne, Old Navy, Buffalo Jeans, Aldo, Esprit - etc etc |

Re: Road Trip to Alberta Baby!!!
There's nothing exciting about Edmonton if you're comparing to Vancouver in terms of sightseeing, recreation, etc. You might as well go to Calgary too, it's about 2 hr drive up north.. but there's probably not much going on there right now.. Summer's always the best time to go.
