Love stop using plastic bags

I think it's great that companies are starting to offer re-usable fabric bags. I noticed that recently tons of retialers are promoting them.

I live in Vancouver and durring the garbage strike we had to drive our garbage to my aunts house in burnaby and we're trying to create less waste. While shopping I would stuff as much items that i bought into my over-sized gucci shoulder bag so i wouldn't end up with 5 shopping bags. I realized I have a million shopping bags that will either pile up in my closet or i'd just throw them away. what a waste!!

I want to do my part and help the enviroment. I'm going to stop using plastic bags for groceries.

Plastic bags create huge amount of waste in our landfills

Let's all do our part and stop the use of plastic bags =)

Re: stop using plastic bags

hey i agree with u. i work as a cashier at a liquor store and i always ask customers if they want a plastic bag or not. surprisingly, most customers are pretty good and if they just buy one thing..they would say no. and most ppl bring those fabric bags...and some even have dividers.

i hate having so many plastic bags when i go shopping. i try to minimize my use too since i usually have a big bag. =]

as for buying cute fabric bags..i'm not too sure.
