I haven't really calculated how much I spend per month. I'm happy to say that since I have never been in debt and always pay off my credit card bills in full every month, I really just purchase whatever catches my eye. The most I spent on one purchase was $160,000.00 (Canadian currency) rounded off to the nearest dollar. *Hint Hint* It has 4 wheels

Lol. I'm a server at a restaurant that gives me about $400 cash a week on top of a bi-weekly check. However at the end of the month, most of this goes to rent. I try to budget myself at 1 pair of jeans a month...so around $150-200:)

p.s do you guys know if you get overtime pay if you've worked 9hrs....and your only a part timer?

yes i believe if you work over 8hrs you have to get paid ot even if your a part-timer

Yeah, the $400 a week is in tips. I get paid minimum wage an hour on top of that (that's $8.00 here). I'm just a part timer since I'm currently a student. As far as I know, though, the servers who are full time at this restaurant do not get paid overtime.

Actually, I take that back haha. I remember this one time I was about to hit 8+ hours, and my manager cut my shift immediately. That's probably why.

remember kay, people save money...it's not like someone who can buy a car with one week's wage (in most cases..) Beside, you're not taking into account that a lot of people have to pay their own tuition, rent, insurance and what not..

p.s.
I think 70% of my earning goes towards shopping, 20% towards food and rest is some misc stuff...but starting next month I'm going to give a portion of it to my parents
