Do you like to go thrift shopping? Why or why not? What's your favourite place to go to?

I don't go, but i want to. ever since i heard about great deals some of you've had i have wanted to go. i just don't know where a good location is...

nah. i don't like it. i prefer buying stuff at winners....than like thift stores.

I've only been to Value Village a couple times, and to True Value Vintage once. They had some cute stuff at TVV, but it was kinda pricey for a thrift store. Value Village is much cheaper, but I never find time to go out of the way to get there!

I don't thrift shop because I don't know how clean the last person who wore it was... I don't trust used items.

I freaking LOVE to thrift shop!!! I'm not sure if stores are the same in Canada since I've never been there, but in Orange County they've got a lot of great places since most of the clothes are from surrounding richer areas (Newport Beach, Irvine, Laguna...etc)

Oops, i forgot to say why. I love to thrift shop because it's like treasure hunting. Yeah, it takes a while sometimes to score a great find, but it's totally worth it if you do! I once bought a pair of REAL R&R's for $35 dollars! Cool, huh?

However, I DO agree with the above poster, Tigerette...lol. I run everything through a hot wash/hot dry before I wear them for sure!!

Before, I would never step FOOT in one of those, but when I heard someone found some real SFAMS, I decided to give it a try. haha Ive been going quite a bit too, actually!
I found an AWESOME pair of SFAMS (authentic) for my sister, they were crops, they didnt even look like they were used, $8.99 was it? I also bought myself some SFAMs for $8.99....and thats it. I saw Kate Spade zebra print slip on pointed toe heels the other day for $3.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The bottoms were worn, but the top was in great cond. Wayy too small for me though. Also D&G jeans (way too big for me) there too.
I like going there and finding good deals! :) I love hearing about other peoples deals!

True Value Vintage is my favourite place to go "thrifting".. although I've only bought a used belt before and all the other things I've bought there are new (the ones in stock).

Whenever I try to go thrift shopping, I never end up buying anything. I think it's maybe because in the back of my head, there's my mom's voice telling me how dirty it is and I don't know where it's been. I don't mind people buying used clothing, I think it's pretty sweet but I guess it's not for me.

Holy crap, those are amazing finds!!! That's a waaaaaay better deal than what I've come across so far! Lucky girl.

Wow, sounds like the location you went to was packed with deals! I go to the thrift store sometimes but I haven't been in a while... I hate searching through so many things that are way too big (usually not XS's or 0/1's) and nothing is really appealing... at the places I've been to anyway :S

it's usually a hit or miss. i go thrifting maybe once a year. i did find a pair of vintage capezio cowboy boots for $25 and i loooooooove them to death. but that's the only good thing i really found.
