Three steps to soft, pretty feet
1. SHAPE EDGES Remove old polish and clip nails straight across to just above the skin. With a fine-grain emery board, file nails in one direction until they are even and softly rounded at the corners. (Don\'t clip or file the sides of nails—it can cause ingrowns.) Rub one drop of cuticle oil into each nail and onto the surrounding skin.
2. SOFTEN FEET Soak your feet in warm, soapy water for ten minutes. Massage them with a scrub, rinse, and blot dry. Buff calluses with a pumice stone and push cuticles back with a stone tool. Rub with a cream and wrap feet in a damp, hot towel. When the towel cools, wipe nails clean with polish remover and insert a toe separator.
3. POLISH NAILS Starting with a basecoat, drag one side of the brush against the inside lip of the bottle, then use the other side to paint each nail with three strokes from base to tip. Wait two minutes, then repeat the process with two coats of polish and one of topcoat. Let the topcoat dry for a full hour before slipping on shoes.
